Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival Introduces Duck Dash as a Part of its 2021 Festivities

IMG_1652.jpg

Are you ready to get quacking?

The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival certainly is. Bantam is putting its own spin on a social media trend that swept the Jeep community by storm last year. Bantam will take “Ducking”, or the concept of placing a rubber duck and a note on a fellow Jeeper’s ride, to a whole new dimension with its first Duck Dash which is set to be held on Saturday, June 12 at 6 p.m.  One of the largest Jeep-only events in the nation, the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival attracts more than 2,500 registered Jeeps and 20,000 Jeep enthusiasts to a three-day event held primarily at Cooper’s Lake Campground near Slippery Rock. The 2021 event, celebrating the Festival’s 10th anniversary, will take place June 11-13.

Military-themed rubber ducks, chosen to represent Butler’s heritage as the birthplace of the Jeep, are available for $5 in the Festival’s online store, but don’t let that ruffle your feathers. Part of the proceeds will go to local charities, including American Legion Riders, Butler Outdoor Club, Civil Air Patrol, Leadership Butler County and Slippery Rock Township Volunteer Fire Department. All of the ducks will be released down a hill and the first three numbered ducks that cross the finish line will earn their purchasers $300, $200 and $100 respectively.

The fun does not end there! The Duck Dash is only the beginning of the journey for the ducks that the Festival has named “Rocky”. After Jeepers and others who purchased a duck claim their new plastic friend and leave Bantam, Rocky’s Road Trip begins. This adventure will take Rocky throughout the land, spreading the fun, happiness, and love of Jeeps where the wind blows!

Duck owners are asked to duck another Jeeper during their travels. There is no fowl play here because those who get ducked can spread the love too. They are asked to share their Rocky adventures on social media. There are sure to be many duck tales flying around this summer!

Ducks can be purchased at the Festival’s online store at http://www.bantamjeepfestival.com/bantam-store. Ducks will also be available for purchase at the Festival. To learn more about the Duck Dash or any other events at the 2021 Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival, please visit www.bantamjeepfestival.com
